Xtava the Twist Curling wand Review

Recently, I very luckily won this giveaway for a Xtava curling wand. I’ve tried it out a few times and I thought I’d give you a review.

First of all, it came in the most amazing packaging. The outer cardboard box has this lovely geometric pattern with gold, black and white triangles with Xtava written in gold.

Inside the patterned box is a really sleek looking matte black box with the logo in shiny black. The wand also came with a heatproof black bag, which would be perfect for travelling, and a black heatproof glove. I thought the glove would be brilliant (I’m forever burning myself on my curlers and straighteners) but sadly it is super itchy and as soon as it touches my hair, my hair gets so straticy which makes it almost impossible to handle. Sadly, I’ll just have to learn to be a bit more careful!

The wand is tapered which I really like, it gives the curls a really natural, beachy wave which I think would look brilliant on long hair as well as my shorter hair. The swivel chord makes it super easy to use. I was a bit worried I’d find it hard to use as I’m used to curling tongs as apposed to curling wands but I was pleasantly surprised. The barrel is quite thick which means it is super quick and easy to curl your whole head, even f your hair is pretty thick like mine.

One of my favourite parts of this curling wand is the digital temperature screen which makes it really easy to see how hot it is, the wand also comes with a booklet that includes what temperature you should be using for your hair type so the screen makes it simple to see if you are burning your hair unnecessarily!

I have tried to master the wavy lob for ages now and this wand makes it super easy, even for people who are hair disasters like me!
